This is a project built with AI, ML and computer vision to celebrate the art of Kolams. You upload or sketch a Kolam, and our system tries to identify the underlying design principles such as symmetry, dot patterns, and drawing rules, and then recreate the design. Of course, it does not always get it right at first. But the more data and patterns it learns, the better it becomes at understanding this centuries-old tradition.
We built this as an example of how AI can help document and revive cultural traditions while making them interactive and fun to explore. Watch the demo to see how it works!
